Out of the box integration

Native integrations enabling businesses to create a channel agnostic Conversational Ai capability underpinned by Google Dialogflow. Current integrations available for Slack.

No-Code Mapping

Bot Connector designed to enable rapid connection between the dialogue flow agent and Cloud Orchestrator through native API integration and drag and drop mapping.

Parameter Passing

Advanced natural language processing identifies intent and extracts required process inputs for use in RPA and accepts responses to return to the customer in live-chat.

Constrain Management

Relaxed time constraints for fulfilment to mitigate time-out settings to accommodate the complexity of processes or the number, availability and performance of target systems.

How UiPath chatbot works

The UiPath chatbot functionality allows users to create Conversational Ai capability using out of the box integration and no-code mapping.

The capability is exclusively underpinned by Google Dialogflow, which is used to determine the intent and extract information to be used as process inputs, and return process outputs to the end user.

Conversation channels like Slack, Dialog agents and UiPath chatbot are all connected using native API’s. RPA Developers use the Bot Connector to map the intent from the DIalog agent to available processes using drag and drop functionality.

Channel integrations are current limited to Slack (as at January 2020) and UiPath Cloud Orchestator is required.

UiPath chatbot – Important Note

The UiPath chatbot capability is currently available in private preview and is expected to be in general release late in 2020. The initial capability is limited to integration with Slack as a channel and is only available using the UiPath Cloud Orchestrator.

Where you use UiPath chatbot

Based on the restriction of channels (for native integration) to Slack, the UiPath chatbot is best suited as a virtual assistant for internal and staff users. Primary use cases for this function will include automation of non-essential tasks to administrative staff and providing assistance to customer subject or domain experts, for example, sales staff or account managers.

In the long-run integration with channels like Facebook Messenger will mean the capability can be used in customer facing service automation. UiPath also has multiple chatbot platforms in their technology ecosystem. We anticipate that a wider range of integration to other platforms will become available in the future.
